1 Native Tree Planted in a Reclaimed Wood Frame + Under Summer Pastures Book
*Please note, orders placed after midday on Thursday, 19th December, will be posted in January.
Your donation directly supports our mission to create and restore resilient habitats. This includes planting native Irish trees on land owned by our charity. All woodlands we establish adhere to the highest standards of best practices and are dedicated to nature. Tree planting is just the beginning—our sites host a variety of conservation activities. You’re always welcome to visit the trees and take part in our planting days.
You will receive:
A beautiful locally printed A5 certificate, printed on recycled paper with eco-friendly ink.
A handcrafted frame made from reclaimed maple floorboards sourced in Ireland, made by Michael at the Rocker Lane Workshop. Each frame is unique and can differ slightly in the colour from the one in the photo, as these frames are made from reclaimed maple floorboards, they carry beautiful and distinctive markings of their time as floorboards. Rocker Lane Workshop uses reclaimed timber from Irish dance and community halls, these frames are 100% sustainable.
Under Summer Pastures - Explorations and Essays from Ireland's Temperate Rainforests: printed on 144 pages, 230 x 160 mm, cover: Woodforce Silk 300 gsm, text: Woodforce Uncoated 110 gsm.
Our promise:
To plant only native provenance trees
Trees will not be felled or sold
Land owned by the charity
Land converted to permanent woodland
Once your pledge has been received, funds enter a restricted account. Hometree directs the funds to land acquisition for a new afforestation site or to a site already owned. We plant the trees between December and April, during the tree planting season.
Woodland will be created and remain in perpetuity. We agree not to clear-fell or remove trees except where doing so is necessary to ensure a woodland's overall health. In all instances, we will apply the best ecological and forestry practices.
Where possible Hometree accesses state funding allocated for landowners (Hometree) who can receive an annual premium when woodlands are created and registered under forestry schemes. Having access to this support can keep the cost of a tree pledge lower than the true cost of woodland creation and maintenance.
