Our work is to establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland, encouraging land regeneration and biodiversity. What inspired you to work with Hometree?
Keeper Solutions is underpinned by a set of values and principles which are based around leading by example, promoting innovation, fostering respect and contributing to the communities and environment in which we operate.
Keeper Solutions encompasses elements of social enterprise by engaging in an annual profit share with the entire team. We care about the footprint the company creates and are looking for ways to make a positive impact on biodiversity whilst offsetting the CO2 created by our cloud services through planting native trees. Hometree appeared as a natural partner - they provide Keeper with a pragmatic means to meet our sustainability goals.
You will not see some of the trees you are planting reach maturity, what has inspired such a long term vision?
This is an exciting and inspiring thought. We love to think we will have in some small way made a positive impact that will benefit future generations. The idea that Keeper Solutions will leave a legacy beyond its services or clients and help protect biodiversity and enhance the environment is really special.
Have there been any key moments you can share about how you or your organisation decided to support a more abundant and healthier world?
Keeper Solutions is always looking for ways to be more sustainable and reduce our C02. We have a company newsletter monthly with a dedicated section about sustainability, here we share sustainable alternatives, awareness days, and initiatives people can take part in.
Would you like to share any key lessons life has taught you?
You can learn so much from nature that can be applied to both your personal life and business. One thing, in particular, is how flexible yet resilient the natural world is; flora and fauna adjust to their environments by adapting to and being flexible to the uncontrollable elements that surround them. In life and business to have the capacity to adapt, be flexible, patient and creative builds resiliency and innovation and these will most certainly stand to you.
