Hometrees purpose is land regeneration, how does this align with your company/organisation?
Gaiatalent is specialist recruitment business for the Renewable Energy and Environmental Sector. We also contribute to Woodland Trust. From an alignment perspective, we love the idea of having a tree planted for every person placed representing a new career move for them whilst also positively contributing to the environment.

What inspired you to work with Hometee? Given the times we live in every business and organisation needs to be doing its bit to support and helping the environment. For us, it is also a core part of what Gaiatalent represents and as we grow we look forward to increasing our level of positive impact through partnering with great projects like hometree. Planting trees is one of the most simple and effective ways we can collectively make a positive difference to our environment and invest in the wellbeing of our planet as well as leave a legacy for future generations.

Some of the trees you are planting you will not see mature, together we are working towards a more abundant and biodiverse future.
First and foremost a greater sense of the connection we all share with nature and a truly deep understanding that a healthy, vibrant, natural environment benefits everyone and everything at every level.

As countries and communities celebrating this and weaving that understanding into the fabric of everything, we do through education in our schools to actions in our daily lives.

List two ways you support this invitation at present?
Educating my children. They are the future and reap whatever we sow. Supporting organisations like hometree and other projects in Nepal involved in education and sustainable community-based farming.

List two ways you would like to support this invitation in the future? Through the growth and commercial success of my businesses to facilitate greater investment in different projects and particular school projects as well as that by growing our food and planting trees on our land.

Do you have a memory that to share about a tree/forests/nature?
A multitude. Like most kids I loved climbing trees growing up and spent a lot of time in the woods near our home. To this day one of my favorite things to do is walk among big deciduous trees. You can feel the life and wisdom from them. There was one huge Horse Chestnut tree in the woods near us. Not only was it great to climb but it had the best conkers! The sea is the other great draw. Early memories of fishing the rock pools in Lahinch. It's challenging today seeing how much less life there is when I bring my kids to do the same. There is still a joy though and despite all, I'm optimistic we can effect positive change on all fronts in the years ahead.

Other than Hometree can you celebrate other ways you or your organisation supports a  healthier environment?
We support two primary organisations, Hometree and Woodland Trust. I have been involved in and supported numerous projects in Ireland, Nepal, Peru, and Africa.

Have there been any key moments that you can share about how you or your organisation decided to support a more abundant and healthier world?
For Gaiatalent it's part of our raison d'etre - it's in the name! We're only a startup business but we have big ambitions and a percentage of profit will always go to support building a healthier happier environment both internally and externally. hometree is just one of the ways we intend to do this.

We’d love to hear and share any key lessons that life has taught you, in as little or man words as you like?
Small actions can have huge and far-reaching results. The main thing is to take action with positive intent and I have found life will move in your favour. Just don't expect it to be on your schedule!
